Icons: They're serious fucking business.

Recently there seems to be an upswing of "stealing" going on in the icon making world. It's rather frustrating and discouraging but instead of attacking others I've decided to do this. I wanted to give a shout out to some of my favorite icon makers of all time and tell them what a huge inspiration they are to me and thank them for producing and sharing such quality work.

call_me_daisy
I don't think I've ever heard on bad thing about her and why should there be negativity? call_me_daisy produces such colorful and well cropped squares it's hard not to to sit back and just allow your breath to be taken.

colorstoobright
@ weethreekings
I love the depth and intensity of colorstoobright's icons. She works with space, color and style in a graceful yet powerful way and it pleases me greatly.

fuyu_ginga
@ galaxy_cauldron
Biased or not I love fuyu_ginga's icons. They are funny and a style all her own. She works with text and silliness so well that it never takes away from the icon itself. It only makes it better. Her coloring always pops no matter the cap.

pajamas
@ foursides
Formally rainblows, pajamas has been an inspiration for me ever since I began making icons. Particularly for her amazing ability to crop. I don't watch her community as much (change in fandoms, ect) but when I do, I still have the desire to save all her work.

prettypinkdork
@ paper_spaceship
I am constantly blown away by the beauty prettypinkdork creates. I can't name a single soul that can use texture as well as she does better yet, what she does actually gives me a physical reaction. They're simply stunning.

prettyquotable
@ nextjuly
"I need to eat them." This is what is prettyquotable's icons make me want to do. They are soft, vibrant squares that blown my mind no matter the fandom.

mhmm

"Oh squiggly line, in my eye fluid. I see you there, lurking on the periphery of my vision. But when I try to look at you, you scurry away. Are you shy, squiggly line? Why only when I ignore you, do you return to the centre of my eye? Oh squiggly line, it's alright, you are forgiven."

Oh me, oh my! This journal is locked up tight. If the curiosity kills you feel free to add a comment but please don't add the journal before then. I don't get why people do that.
