You'd think that I'd say The West Wing, right? NOPE. Yes, I would love to see it rounded off a bit more, and I'm still waiting for the "I love you," and I want more Charlie/Zoey and Will/Kate closure, and a load of other stuff that's too spoilery to mention. In fact, I don't. In my head, I have the perfect vision of What Came Next in my head, and I am way too scared that that could be messed with. It's like when there were rumours about the Friends movie, and I was terrified, because it ended so perfectly and I didn't want that messed up. Look at Sex And The City. So no. As much as I want more West Wing and more Josh and Donna and more amazing cast stuff, I don't want it like that.
I would pick Studio 60. It just... never got the chance. The first season was way too overhyped, and it would never be able to live up to that. It became Aaron Sorkin's personal soapbox, and it suffered for it, but he knows that. If it were given a second season, I competely think that it would be calmer, and it would be more settled, and would learn from the mistakes of the first season. TV shows are cancelled too quickly now, and a lot of shows actually come into their own in later seasons. Even The West Wing wasn't a ratings hit until it won about a gazillion Emmys and piqued people's interest. Season 2, on the other hand, was where it picked up viewers. House was nearly cancelled after one season, and look at it now. Same for The Office. NBC were too quick to give up on Studio 60, and I think that it should have been given another season to prove itself. Or it should be picked up by another network more suited to it. I miss Studio 60. I wish I'd brought my DVDs with me. I'm kind of craving it now.
